In his "Virginia Wills and Administrations 1632-1800" published by the Genealogical Publishing Company in 1965, Clayton Torrence lists the following Chapmans by county with wills or inventories on the dates indicated. As we can find copies of these wills, or any other Chapman wills, they will be published in the CFA quarterly and post on the CFA web site. (Note: When wills are added the names below will appear as links to the transcriptions.)
All readers should be on the look out for copies of these wills and if possible should access the records in Virginia to obtain one before our meeting in Richmond in 2003. One of our research oriented members attending the Salt Lake City meeting in 2002 should organize some effort to find the wills there. When we meet in Richmond in 2003 we can make a final effort to obtain copies.
