The convention registration form is now available on the CFA web site at: http://www.chapmanfamilies.org/conv.html The form is in a PDF format and you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print this form. Please click on the link to the registration form, and if it does not load automatically, please obtain a free copy of the Acrobat Reader at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html UPDATE At present 20 members have registered which means we are looking for registrations from about 100 more. Much of what happens to and for members at the meeting will be planned and prepared for weeks in advance and to be effective we need to know who will be present. We have a good slate of folks lined up to lead you in discussions on Friday and Saturday about Chapman genealogy and Chapman ancestors. As you register we will add you to our CFA Yahoo Meetings Committee E-Mail list so that you will be in on all the email traffic regarding the meeting. If you would prefer to not be on the list just tell us. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* CFA ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST The contest is just part of the idea. A big part of it is creating the CFA Chapman and Member Photo Archive. We want any and all kinds of photographs of any and all Chapmans and any and all members regardless of their surname. So far we have about 40 photographs. The number and kinds of sections we will have in the displays and contests will depend upon the number and types. Consider just old ancestors doing anything, marriage photos of any of us, military photos of those who served. Photos from work, the old school pictures we got each year, participation in fun things or sporting events, hobbies etc. It is almost certain that two of the photo events will be (1) each registrant will receive a sheet or package with a baby or early childhood photo of many of the folks present (we want yours and your spouse if applicable). Each photograph will be numbered and all the folks included will be listed on a separate sheet. The person who can match the most names with photographs accurately before Saturday night dinner will be awarded a prize after dinner. The lists will be picked up as you enter the dining room. (2) Keep the photograph page for the next part. After dinner each table will get their heads together and pick one of the photographs as their candidate for the CFA Belated Youth of the Year. After each table has made their selection their representative will join all other table representatives in some designated space to pick the big CFA winner from all the table candidates. That person will also receive a price for their early youth charm. Bring band-aids in case you fight. If you wait too late to submit your photographs they will not get included. Send them now. Don't put it off. It is as simple as putting them in an envelope and mailing to CFA Photos, POB 1586, Florissant, MO 63031-1586. Send original quality and if you want them returned include a note saying so and they will be scanned and returned to you immediately. Scanning does not damage or wear on photographs at all. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ST.
