Gil has agreed to be the standing chairman for the next few annual meetings, while the CFA is gaining experience with annual meetings. Paul Rekow will continue with the arrangements for the meeting. They are in close working contact with each other as the plans for the meeting next year and beyond go forward. Gil was asked and agreed to this position and brings to it a longtime experience with his involvement in the Alford Family Association. Following is a brief introduction from Kathleen. Thanks Kathleen and welcome aboard! My name is Kathleen Tovar, married to Steve and we have two teenage children, Daniel and Stephanie. I live in Santa Clara, California presently, but as a former military brat, I have lived on both sides of the United States. I work in Human Resources for a commercial real estate company though I am looking forward to going back to graduate school to receive a teaching credential. I enjoy all kinds of hobbies, painting, scrapbooking, reading, though ever since I stumbled upon genealogy, all my free time seems to be spent in libraries, on the internet or in dark rooms. I am very excited about the taking over the editorship of the Chapman Family Association Quarterly but nervous, as well, because these are very big shoes to fill with such illustrious past editors such as Robert Chapman, Mike Morgan and Gil Alford.
