Bob Chapman, our current CFA Editor, would like to put the word out
that we're in need of a NEW Editor.  Bob's last issue will be the
Fall 2002 issue.  We'd like to have someone that can begin soon
enough to learn the ropes from Bob as he completes the Fall issue.

The editor is responsible for compiling four issues of the CFA 
Quarterly Newsletter annually.  The goal is an issue of 70 pages 
and to get each issue in the mail prior to the last day of the 
astronomical season, (e.g., Winter Issue prior to March 20, Spring 
issue prior to June 20, Summer issue prior to September 20, and 
Fall issue prior to December 20).  

Currently, the master copy of the issue is provided to the CFA 
Treasurer who reviews it, arranges for printing and mailing to 
each active member.

Input comes from members, from nonmembers, and from the 
Corresponding Secretary. The Corresponding Secretary collects 
data and prepares it in publishable form.

The ability to use a computer and a word processor is essential.  
Information is exchanged electronically in most cases.  
This makes the compilation job much easier than it would be if 
information arrived in hard copy.  A scanner is nice to have 
but not essential.

have been updated.
