Thanks! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* UPDATES CFA Web Site- The web site continues to grow on a weekly basis. Since the last newsletter there have been several exciting additions. We have added the Chapman Reference File. This is a new comprehensive database of Chapman ancestors. This will eventually link each ancestor with their respective records for Census, Wills, Military, Marriage, etc. We have added a live chat feature. From the CFA site you may log into a real-time chat room designated for CFA and Chapman research. Stop by and have a look around - never know who you might "meet"! You will also find that many databases have been added or updated on the site. These include the Ahnentafels, Bible, Biography, Genealogy, Historical, Marriage, Wills and more! http://www.ChapmanFamilies.org *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 2002 ANNUAL CONVENTION In preparation for the Convention we would like to encourage members to view the FHL Catalog online at www.FamilySearch.org before you arrive and prepare your list of books and microfilm. Since you can do this at home without going to a local Family History Center, it will make it easier to prepare. There are two handouts that will assist in using the Family History Library Catalog--BEFORE--you go to the Library. One is a general overview of instructions for using the Catalog and the other one is a series of student exercises taking the student through step by step. You can find these handouts on the CFA web site at: http://www.chapmanfamilies.org/conv.html Reminder: The Second Annual Convention and Meeting of THE CHAPMAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION. It will be held May 17th, 18th and 19th, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT. The site chosen for the meeting is the Quality Inn City Center hotel. Members must make their own reservations. The toll-free line directly to the Quality Inn in Salt Lake City is 1-800-521-9997 or the Nationwide Quality Inn reservations number is 1-800-228-5151. Be sure to specify that you are with the Chapman Family Assn. when you register, that way you will get our group rate of $75.00. We have 50 rooms reserved at the Quality Inn, but please make your reservations early so that if we need more rooms that can be arranged. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* WEB SITES OF INTEREST The Chapman House Classic Home Store, located in downtown Rochester Michigan.
