1790 Georgia Census

Georgia was established as the 4^th state in 1788. Population in 1790 was 82, 548.

The1790 Georgia census name list was reconstructed from various tax lists, deeds, wills, voters lists and other sources by Marie Delamar and Elizabeth Rothstein (Gen. Publ. Co., Inc. 1985). This same list was then used by AIS and is now incorrectly called the New Georgia 1790Census Index. The Association does not have the Chapman portion of this reconstructed list and would appreciate a copy of same if any reader has access to it.
