Otis King ChapmanOtis K. Chapman Dead

Otis King Chapman died at Marinette, Wisconsin, February 25, in his eighty-fifth year. Mr. Chapman was born in Greenwich, Conn., October [14] 1809. In his earlier years he was a resident of Rochester, N. Y. He was a skilled machinist having invented a number of intricate pieces belonging to the steam engine. At one time he had ammassed quite a fortune. Mr. Chapman will be remembered by some of the old settlers here, he having lived a number of years on Main street. He was an earnest and active member of the Good Templars lodge and a regular attendant at the Unitarian church. He possessed many noble qualities, generous to a fault and a firm friend to the children. Many of them will always cherish a fond remembrance of Uncle Otis. He
leaves 'a wife in western New York and a daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Wemple now residing in California.
