THOMAS MERRIFIELD CHAPMAN

THOMAS MERRIFIELD8 CHAPMAN (HENRY ELDER7, NATHAN6, NATHAN5, NATHAN4, NATHANIEL3, NATHANIEL2, EDWARD1) was born December 8, 1872 in Oberlin, Ohio, and died December 18, 1918 in Savannah, Georgia. He is buried in Bonneventure Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia. He married LILLIAN LEOTA ELLIOTT February 26, 1902 in Lucas County, Toledo, Ohio. She was born August 6, 1875 in Delaware, Ohio, and died April 13, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia.

Thomas Merrifield Chapman was a member of Company L, 6th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry which participated in the Spanish-American War 1898-1899. His regiment arrived at Cienfuegos, Cuba, January 4, 1899. After a brief stay at Trinidad, Cuba they left Cienfuegos on April 22, 1899 for Savannah, Georgia.
